About

When I was young, I was fortunate to get to travel a fair amount with my family, generally to parts of Mexico and the Caribbean. In the last 18 years, I have moved frequently, living all over the southern United States and in various countries. I continue to re-learn that my passion to travel and see more of the world, runs very deep.

In 2011 I was two years into my career in physical therapy and living in Los Angeles, California, when I felt the urge to see another country.. I mean really see it. I quickly sold everything I owned, and flew to Italy on a one-way flight! After one year of exploring Italy, my life was never the same. You can read more about my au pair experience here.

Following my experience in Italy, I explored various countries for 1-4 weeks at a time, but would always return to The US and feel sad and “stuck.” I would stay (too) busy working the all-too-common 9-5 job (or two or three jobs at times), with a measly two weeks of paid vacation. In August 2018, I quit my job and traveled for 9 months throughout South America and Europe, and after that, my mind was made up, that I eventually had to find a way to embrace full-time travel.

After returning to The United States in the summer of 2019 I continued to travel occasionally until the Covid-19 pandemic hit, which changed the ease of long-term, international travel due to border closures, and lowered the comfort and safety of travel due to many worldwide uncertainties. This shifted my life and travel plans in many ways, but I continued to find ways to travel safely, in the States and beyond.

My deep desire for long-term travel, molded into a full-time travel and nomadic lifestyle that I now share with my husband. Through my travels, I have met many incredible people passionate about seeing the world just like I am. The possibilities that exist are truly endless if you’re brave enough to just take the leap and book that flight!
